Marijuana Cafes in Colorado?

Will there be Marijuana Cafes in Colorado?

Cafes in Colorado

Something on everyone’s mind about Marijuana legalization in Colorado is cafe’s and will they be available to the public in Colorado?

A post earlier today on http://www.opposingviews.com touches bases on a huge subject involving the use of cafe’s to smoke in throughout Denver.

Because the measure prohibits marijuana use only that is done “openly and publicly or in a manner that endangers others,” Corry said private businesses will be able to allow marijuana smoking on site.

Rob Corry, a lawyer and activist, at a recent reform on implementation of the initiative.

This article also points out that the amendment makes great use of the term “retail” and not “cafe”. This I believe could have a big impact on allowing for cafe’s in the Denver area. As well as the Department of Revenue not stating anything about allowing the consumption of cannabis in private facilities is just leaving it open on the table for discussion. I believe it should be approached and looked at.

My personal insight- I think as the public in supporting the vote behind 64 should be able to have enough say to allow cafe’s in our community’s.

This article also states that they encourage the justice department to show restraint when implementing the new amendment.

Will the Justice Department leave the Legalization of cannabis be?

I personally doubt they will, the DEA put a pretty good fight up when it came to dispensary’s opening up locally. I believe once it’s been set in stone the Justice Department will stand down and let it be just like alcohol. It makes sense when looking at past event and tolerances taken with alcohol.

Whether you are in Colorado or not I encourage you to follow our Facebook Page as well as our blog. We would also like to hear from everyone on where they stand in allowing Cannabis Cafe’s

I think it would be a good ideal. for one you have bars for people to go and drink. to be around people and mingle. even though they can get their beer or what ever from a store and take it home.if i were to opperate one i think i would go a few steps further and not have a space to park that all customers would either walk or cab to and from. thus perventing any chance of driving under the influnce, which god knows we don’t want to give any bad news for any one to use against us. after all it has been a long and hard fight to get to where we are now it would be stupid to mess this up now. and to all who have supported this new freedom of choice keep in mind the world is watching us and we have a chance to prove to our goverment we do know what we are doing and we can do it right…. its about time

      Being watched

Your right Steve, we do have a chance here to show a lot of people that this is not the big bad thing we heard about in our bed time story's. This 'Marijuana' is a cure and really a powerful medical tool, if we screw this up we could possible screw up what we have been fighting for for years now.

I think that providing a place for smokers is a safe bet, so the smokers don’t have to smoke at their homes if they have kids they could influence or give second hand highs to. plus hot boxing a place would be awesome so if you don’t buy any you can still get high and everyone can share the love haha
