Cafes in Colorado

Something on everyone’s mind about Marijuana legalization in Colorado is cafe’s and will they be available to the public in Colorado?

A post earlier today on http://www.opposingviews.com touches bases on a huge subject involving the use of cafe’s to smoke in throughout Denver.

Because the measure prohibits marijuana use only that is done “openly and publicly or in a manner that endangers others,” Corry said private businesses will be able to allow marijuana smoking on site.

Rob Corry, a lawyer and activist, at a recent reform on implementation of the initiative.

This article also points out that the amendment makes great use of the term “retail” and not “cafe”. This I believe could have a big impact on allowing for cafe’s in the Denver area. As well as the Department of Revenue not stating anything about allowing the consumption of cannabis in private facilities is just leaving it open on the table for discussion. I believe it should be approached and looked at.

My personal insight– I think as the public in supporting the vote behind 64 should be able to have enough say to allow cafe’s in our community’s.

This article also states that they encourage the justice department to show restraint when implementing the new amendment.

Will the Justice Department leave the Legalization of cannabis be?

I personally doubt they will, the DEA put a pretty good fight up when it came to dispensary’s opening up locally. I believe once it’s been set in stone the Justice Department will stand down and let it be just like alcohol. It makes sense when looking at past event and tolerances taken with alcohol.

Whether you are in Colorado or not I encourage you to follow our Facebook Page as well as our blog. We would also like to hear from everyone on where they stand in allowing Cannabis Cafe’s
